Perform at the S.A.M. Convention!

The Society of American Magicians invites young magicians ages 7-17 to
audition for the Stars of Tomorrow show that takes place during the S.A.M.
National Convention, June 30, July 1, 2, & 3, 2010, in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Stars of Tomorrow show is a professional stage show that features young
magicians and is one of the most popular events at the convention.
Each performer will be paid. He or she also will receive two convention
registrations (one for the performer, the other for a parent), plus a year’s
membership in the Society of Young Magicians.
To audition, applicants should send a video or DVD of the stage act they plan to
perform in the show. The act should be from five to 10 minutes long.
The video or DVD does not have to be from an actual show or be professionally
produced, but it should include the effects, music or patter, costume and props
the magician would use if selected. More than one act may be submitted on an
applicant’s video. No fire may be used.
The S.A.M. also is looking for a young magician to emcee the Stars of
Tomorrow Show. Emcee applicants should also include a sample of
introductions, jokes, and emcee bits in their audition videos. They also must
include the attached application form, a brief biography and a photo suitable for
printing in the convention program.
The deadline for receiving applications is April 15, 2010. Materials cannot be returned.
